Paddle Parade Committee reserves the right to limit the number of entries in each division and total number of boats. Participants may pick up their boat numbers at 10:00 am at the boat ramp at Tidelands park. There are two categories, over 16ft and under 16ft. Cash prizes for the parade are $300 for first place Longer than 16ft, $300 for first place 16 ft or smaller, $200 for second place Longer than 16ft, $200 for second place 16 ft or smaller.

PADDLE PARADE RULES AND INFORMATION 2018 

  1. Parade is open only to non-motorized vessels.

  2. Please make sure you have a Coast Guard -approved wearable life jacket accessible for each person aboard your vessel.

  3. Have your vessel in the water south of Tidelands by 10:30 AM to be lined up. Parade begins at 11:00 AM. We will line up at the launch ramp.

  4. The Harbor Patrol and Coast Guard Auxiliary will be in the vicinity for assistance if needed. PLEASE WATCH FOR THEM!

  5. Wait for the parade director to let you know when to start. The whistle tells you when to go.

  6. No open flames or fireworks are allowed on vessel.

  7. For the enjoyment of all spectators, make every effort to continue along the parade route to Giovanni’s and then make the turn between course markers. Stay close to shore for best spectator and judge viewing.

  8. You must pick up your number between 10-11am at the set up booth at Tidelands park. Please place your PARADE NUMBER visibly on the Starboard Side (right-hand side) of your body or vessel.

  9. Boating under the influence will be strictly enforced and any persons deemed under the influence shall not be eligible for prizes.

  10. Judging will be on creativity, originality and holiday spirit.

  11. Judging will take place in front of the Tidelands Park dock and all participants are encouraged to complete a full circle at this point. ONLY ONE, PLEASE!

  12. Judging will be in two categories: Longer than 16ft and 16ft or smaller.

  13. Cash prizes for the parade are $300 for first place Longer than 16ft, $300 for first place 16 ft or smaller, $200 for second place Longer than 16ft, $200 for second place 16 ft or smaller. Sorry, no prizes for third place.

    Be patient! Navigate slowly and have a great time.
